Managed to get the b16 running after having transponder problems anyway,

Had a leak from the cam seals so i whipped the belt off and replaced them, started it back up and no leaks BUT when i was checking for leaks i noticed the belt being quite loose and whipping when it was given some throttle. So i tried to tension it again but still doing the same thing :(

Here's what it looks like, not my video but mines is doing the exact same with the same blue Gates belt.

Im thinking the tensioner spring has lost its tension, anyone else got any ideas?

Car runs okay aswell

Thanks

id re-aline the timing marks and put a new tensioner on dude, crank it round by hand to chek the marks are lining back up again, make sure water pump has no play in it aswell :)

Yepp pretty strange like, if you watch the video with b series with the blue rocker cover that guys got an aftermarket tensioner made for heads that have been skimmed alot.

Yeah only driven it a couple times and accidentally blasted it in first forgetting it didnt have vtec :nerv:. Hope my wee cam lobes are okay

Hi there its hard to hear it on the video, check the sim, which goes inbeten the two pulleys this keeps the belt in place so it wont pull in self off!! let me no how ye get on..
