hi guys,

in a B16a2 (ek4) stock, can i make this mods without changing the oem intake manifold and run with no problems?

-CTR/ITR 2000 cams
or
-Blox A + ajustables camgears + valve springs

+

- Itr 4-2-1 jdm Exhaust manifold

And at the end, tuned Ecu.

you can but the ek9 intake manifold is a great upgrade so dont see why you wouldnt do it wile your working at the head, and them cams were made for the bigger intake so more gains will be had

Ok kellsled. And what about the OEM ek4 air box? It will work good? Because here in Portugal we have restricted laws about car modifications and the cops on the streets are going too much severe.

Your standard throttle body and intake manifold will handle those cams fine. You could change to an ek9 intake manifold if you change cams but only after and not before because installing the intake manifold alone WILL cause you to lose power as the plenums and the runners on your stock intake have already been designed to make maximum power on the B16a, same goes for throttle body. Your airbox will work fine and is the same as the ek9 airbox, small gains can be had from swpping to a dc2 or a decent aftermarket one though

My vote goes for a CTR/ITR cams and valve train.

If you got the money, CTR pistons (you'll need to take block to a machine shop) so they can fit the CTR pistons.

This should get you around 145 - 155 whp with a tuned ecu. :D

Why I know this?

This was my setup back in 2001 lol :nerv:

Good luck mate.
