Am doing a b16 conversion to my ek civic coupe few things I need bit if info on is . Was think of putting itr or ctr cams in and was also think if an ecu upgrade do I need a unlock ecu

you will need a mappable ecu and a map to get the most from your setup. and also valve springs and retainers to accompany the cams
 
Do u def need new valve springs can I not just fit the cams

What sort if ecu do I need and they hard come by
 
the ek9/dc2 cams will rev higher so u will need to change the springs and retainers
also you can use a p28/p30 thats socketed and run a chip on crome or similar or spend more money and get a hondata s300. lots of choices as far as ecu's are concerned
 
Ok u lost me at p28/p30 I saw a spoon chip on eBay u can get from ecu

What sort of price are ecus . So I just can't fit the cams have to get springs and retainers are they easy to get

Dont even think off buying the shitty spoon or whateva chips they are on ebay, the map on them does not be right you will jus ruin your engine, only chips i would use is h tunes

You dont have to get springs an retainers mate you can run the cams without any problems as long as you dont rev past the standard rev limit of a b16 an you wont have a problem

Cams you can pick up from £175 to £220

Normally around the £200 mark though

Shop around and buy off a trusted seller
 
Happy days ppl got myself a crx del sol with b16 in it going take engine out and brake rest car
