Thread revival!

Great build project, really impressed with the results. Seems like this may be the way to go with my engine.

Been doing some research into it, did you have to have 1mm taken out of the rods to clear the pistons?

Yes, you do have to taking off 1 mm of material on both side of the rod to fit Civic Type R piston.

But I do regret not going for B18, as it will have better torque and power. I just bought a used B18C (regular Integra B18C) and planning for a rebuild.

please do post up a thread mate, love your civic!

Cool thanks!

Yeh read about using B18 blocks and rods with B16a2 pistons which give a fairly high comp build making similar power to yours but then you would have room to use higher lift cams if you wanted with the B18.

Hello, sorry for digging this up againg but I really like the build and I'm planning something very similar for my EK4. The only difference would be NPR pistons instead of OEM.

But since it's my daily drive I'm wondering about the endurance of the build. How many miles have you done already? Any problem so far? Or any recommendation?

Thanks! Glad you like it.

I have about 4000 miles after the rebuilt. I put the EK4 in storage for a year and just had the car passed the MOT about a month ago but I have not buy the license yet. Probably this coming Septerber.
