I remember reading on here, someone saying that they put a B16 head on a d series block.

Just wondering who it was, as I thought it would have been impossible. And myself and a few others where talking about it, as it was asked on another forum I'm on...

Almost sure the person was from Southern Ireland if that narrows it down!

i read about this as well.. don't think this is possible. i use the d series block and b head as a joke to a few for my motor lol.

There was definitely someone on here saying they'd done it, though.

I dont think it is possible. The holes for water and oil to pass through are different I think and wouldn't line up, neither would the head studs. I think the best you can do is a mini me swap with say a d16z6 head on d14 block

Why would you ever want to do this? b16's have no torque as it is, would be absolutely gutless, I've no idea what bore size is used on the d series but theres a chance the liners would interfere with the valves

I'm pretty sure the valves would hit the liners assuming they could even mate up, there are better, lighter engines out there already

like the G13b suziki engine

but i think the fact that the d14 would bolt into the car without custom shafts was the main thing,

The car is being rallied still as far as i'm aware

D series are 75mm bore if i remember
