guys how do u install ASR subframe brace? i have the manual from ASR but it doesnt show all the parts in the picture. on the EK, it have 2 kinda C or L shape bracket and 2 thin bracket. Is there anyone who can take pix of their ASR subframe on EK and show me please? like from multiple direction showing the other parts

the biger L shape bracket going to atatch to de rear of the brace with 2 srews, the little 2 thiny brakets goes the other side of subrame when you thight the brace to the subrame, were the LCA is! I'm going to try to take some pics for you!

don't forget to add the blinker fluid.

but in this pix (Mixwell), i cant see the thick L or C shape bracket and the thin bracket, I want to see them both so know where it goes exactly and which direction it should be at

Hey

So this weekend i was able to take some pics of wath you requested, since i was putting some new lca!

here it goes, 2 srews old the L piece:

Then you put the brace in place with the new LCA bolts and when you put the bolt who goes inside the bar, inside the lca compartimente you put the ''C'' brace:

If you add a sway OEM i suggest you take out the oem nut plate, wich is tacked in the middel, between the 2 nuts!

thansk alot pimpingiroN!!!!! it helps, but in the picture i dont see the really thin bracket.

btw i am still confuse reading your instruction pimpingiron. can u give it in steps?

I had an older model, but in the link I posted above there's a picture of the orientation of that bracket.

Ok i think this is how u do it, can u check for me to see if the step is correct?

#1) I take the THICK L shape bracket and screw one to each side of the ASR Subframe brace. I use the 2 tiny screw to screw it like in the PICTURE with these SIDE facing the correction direction?

By the way, DO I need to torque the tiny screws?

THis is the backside view:

#2) I then take the ASR subframe brace with the L THICK bracket installed and mount it HERE on the car's chassis subframe? I put in the longest SCREW into the bottom slot and go through into the LCA?

#3) then i install the THIN BRACE Plate here? Like where I circle in the picture?>

#4) THis is the correct direction and order of the THIN brace plate? I mean that direction but on top of the car's subframe and not the ASR one.

Exacly, the tiny screws hows thightned to L brace is just to hold the "spacer" L bracket, so no need to torque it to much!

As for the the attachement you got it right, longer bolt replace the OEM LCA to Subframe bolt and as for the "C" bracket is right there how that goes and facing like on your picture....

Quick question, are you going to instal a sway bar along with the brace?? Or only the brace??

im putting on the ek9 sway bar with that brace

by the way, do i need to grease anything? im using the OEM endlink and bushing and bracket

Well antisize on endlinks and bolts never hurts, as for sway bar buches is always good to put some water base grease!

what is antisize? is that in the UK? im thinking of silicone grease for everything

Silicone grease is good for rubber and poly buches, antisize is....well you know when you change brakes in your car you put some kind of cooper grease so the treads don't jame next time you have to do the job right? Same stuff there put that kind of grease on the treads of LCA/endlinks bolts!
