Not a good idea to alter your vtec crossover, this is not the right way to make power + a risky modanyone know what vtec controller is best for my teg and where to get one from at a good price
and the main question is do i really need one,
any thoughts guys,
cheers
adam.
You can change it whenever you want, this is not a problem, the "problem" is that you spend decent money to buy a device to alter you vtec without any benefits really, you just enable it earlier where there is no power to take advantage of. You just hear the engine screaming from 4000 - 5000 rpm + the engine wears out faster. Honda put vtec at 6200 rpm because that's the place where its beneficial. What mods would you have to do before changing your vtec crossover?
Correct, and not only for vtec, its a general rule if you wanna see any gains from your mods, especially the "internal" ones Feeding the car with more fuel and air is essential as nothing elsevtec controller/emanage/afc all suck suck suck, you need a proper engine management solution if you want to adjust engine stuff. switching vtec without altering air fuel and ignition is pointless...
