hello everyone, as above has anyone had any dealings with these?

thanks in advance

Dean

I have a set of ebay coilovers. Possibly TA Tecniqs i think these are similar to the Gmaxx ones if i remember rightly. Theyre decent for the money, this is my second set ive had. Used them on my last civic aswel.

Only criticism i can say is sometimes they do seem to have a metallic rattle/bang when going over potholes etc. Saying that, mine are wound alllllllllll the way down!

I paid 170 for mine and im very happy with them.

I read a fair bit about these.

Basically rebranded and massively re-priced versions of the TA Technix/Tuning Art coilovers you get from Belgium/Germany.

Hard ride and poor build quality. I've seen some where the strut has come through the top mounts. I would avoid if you want to stay alive. I think they're real ditch finder coilovers. They're the same as, TA Technix, Tuning Art, Jamex and VMaxx. Probably go under a few other names too.

The Supersport coilovers are meant to be cheap and quite good from what Glenda at Fast Car says.

ok guys no probs, i was thinking along the lines of the Gmax springs etc, they dont seem to be bad so thought for the money and the 2 year warranty for new low end coilovers they would be ok.

had a gmax springs and shocks on my saxo, worst ride ever, very stiff took corners well but so uncomfortable

yeah i had the springs and shocks on my eg6 and like you said they were uncomfortable but handled well and my ek is mainly going to be a weekend/track car so was hoping the Gmax coilies would be fine

These will be fine, gmax and jamex are not half as bad as people (who probably have not even used them) make out, they often get compared to cheap eBay no brands by brand whores who belive they should be poor because they are cheap or not jdm. Both of these are tuv approved and iso9001 and come with 3 year warranty. I bought a set of jamex ones as a cheap replacement while my "top quality" branded suspension was sent away after less than a year due to failed shocks, they have been on that car for 6 years now no problems and the car gets driven hard every day.

I've a set of Gmax shocks and springs on my CRX and I've found them to be very good for the money. I couldn't comment weather or not they are to harsh as I have a cage fitted.

for the price they are new even if they are harsh etc im pretty sure they would be fine for track :)

I've been in a car with these and not to bad cheaper alternatives give a similar ride

you have clearly never used a set of these coilovers, ive had two sets on different cars and never had a problem. yeh they give a pretty hard ride, but thats due to the damping and spring rates, not the build quality.
If the strut comes through the top mount, your car should be in the scrappers or you have fitted the coilovers incorrectly.

TUV approved with a 3 year warranty. so if anything does go wrong. take pictures etc. email them to the seller and boom. replacement unit. although ive never had to do this.
