On taking off the front bumper of my EK9 to look at the configeration of the intake. I noticed that it has a U pipe Black at base of Air filter housing and connection on same U pipe by a tee pipe to a white air box. The questions I have looking at it are as follows.
1. Why does the Black U pipe return back through wing into the engine bay to draw air with the possiblility of drawing hot air from engine bay
2. The white air box connected by a tee pipe from the same U bend above, what is its purpose? when the U pipe connects straight through with the tee pipe being only smaller so the larger air intake would draw from the larger U pipes due to least resistance. Without dismantling all I could see in the white air box was empty space, I would be interested to know its intended purpose was.
