Umm its a safety device, its supposed to reduce the injuries you sustain, not increase them. My point is for a lot of people this is not the case.Obviously an airbag is going to cause damage to you, it's an explosion in your face.
Who said anything about having airbags and harnesses? My point about harnesses was fitted to folding seats from the rear seat squab anchors as I've seen done many times on forums is very unsafe in a crash, I was hoping to find the crash test vid to demonstrate this as its quite interesting. If you have regular 3 point harnesses and you are of average height, build and driving position AND happen to have a direct head on crash then your airbag might help you, otherwise they are a bit crap.If you have harnesses in then yes it probably won't make much difference especially if you are tall, but they again, why would you have harnesses in your daily? If you have regular 3 point seat belts like any sensible person would have in their daily then you will still be propelled forward towards the wheel in a front end crash.
Having looked at a lot of research into the matter I'd rather take my chances without thanksAn airbag to the face in a crash will cause serious damage but you might just be lucky enough to be hanging on to your life by a thread because of it. That's all they are designed to do, save your life, not make sure that you still have a pretty face afterwards.
Not really sure how you work that out, she was hit head on by a transit van that came round a corner on the wrong side of the road (driver had forgotten which side of the road we drive on ).And as in the case of your sister, that's her own fault really.
Anyway... we digress!
To the OP yes your daily needs a better wheel, the OEM EK4 wheel is particularly ugly. pick one you like and don't get hung up on having an airbag!
