Hi guys,

Well after buying a Clio 182 for a second car instead of usen taxi all the time it wasn't what I'd hoped so after a long think I decided on vtec... Ek9 a bit too much to sit in the garage but then I found this...
Honda : Honda Civic Jordan No. 129

The advice I need is rare arches have stated to go on it..? What kind of price are these to get repaired/replaced?

Also what would you value the car it? It usen oil every 4000 miles but no smoke on vtec I'm told, going to view car mid week so any help would be fantastic,

Thanks Ross :))

It is very common for b series engines to use oil, depends how much as to whether accepted okay.

Rear arches probably around £400 for a mint job. :)

As above VTEC engines like the B series generally do use oil, as for consumption is does depend how you drive it aswell, obviously if your on VTEC everywhere you can expect to use more oil.

Arches does depend where you take it to get done and quality of job but expect anywhere between £300 - £600 to be done I'd say.

The Jordan does look like a decent example, I would offer around £3200 for that. Also when viewing check the rear lights for water ingress aswell as the spare wheel well as Civics are common to leak there.

As above

The only thing that put's me off this car is the amount of owners it's had this past 1-2 year's. I was going to buy this last summer when it was up for sale; it then sold to someone. The person who then bought it put the car back up for sale literally like 1 month later. I think it's jumped ships 2 times since then as I have seen it up for sale quite a bit.

Just thought I would let you know as all the extra info can help :)

Other than that I think it definitely looks spot on, maybe try £3200-3500 with the price.

Ok cheers,

Yeah waiting for the guy to get back to me on previous owners,

Not so keen now I hear it's changed hands a lot recently tho,

Ok this one has tempted me...

88k 4 previous owners and reasonably priced...?

Previous owners doesn't mean an issue?!
I change cars/bikes almost yearly - and all my bikes/cars are meticulously maintained!

Where as a non enthusiast may typically buy a car, run it into the ground and sell on.

That's a fair point! I've owned 7 cars in a little over 4 years but none of them have wanted for anything in the time I owned them

Yeah I guess, there's a couple I'm looking at just need 5 min free to go look, works mad at the moment!!

Cheers guys
