ABS problem

Well recently my abs has been really acting up. It started when I started braking (not that heavily) and it would kick in. But it's gradually got worse and worse so now when I'm just driving normally (not even touching the brakes) I can hear that the abs is kicking it. The abs light doesn't come on at all unless I keep braking over the abs for at least 10 times.
The ring on the abs sensor was a bit dodgy when I got the discs changed. But is that the only problem??

Check all the reluctor rings for damage or splits, the tiniest crack can cause the abs to play up. Also check the abs sensors for dirt. Because the abs sensor is magnetic it picks up all sorts of metal filings on the face of the sensor causing it to mess up it's readings.
