Ok guys here is the deal. ik have a b18c-r. idk whats going on, but i lose oil rapidly. i tried 10w-40 royal purple and it helped. then i put 10w-30 mobil 1 full synthetic extnd perf. and it was ok. i dont smoke at start up so is not the seals. i dont smoke 24/7 so i dont have bad piston rings. i did a compression test to help out and i had 250 240 240 250.
motor runs very strong.
now last oil change was at 47,500 (on cluster, not motor). when 48,500 hit i had to add a quart. i also added engine restorer to see if it would help along with that quart. 400 miles later i added marvel mistery oil that its really watery, i did that to "help burn slude"...well after those addtives i smoked alot around 6k rpms and up. sometimes blue, black...then it was just white or bluish after a period of time. now at 49,200 i had no oil left. so i bought 5 quarts of same 10w-30 mobil 1 synthetic extnded perforamance, along with "motor flush" before i added the new oil to flush all the old additives and hopefully sludge. my oil came out really dark so i guess it took alot of bad things out.
