A/C idle?

My A/C was broken for the best part of half a year, and I put it right a few days ago, thanks to this hot summer days we been having, but I don't know if this is normal as a few have said it is, when I am on the move with the A/C on, its fine, but when I come to a stop at the lights, and put it in neutral, the idle drops halfway between 0 and 1 but it doesn't die, it just shakes then comes back up to normal within a few seconds, its only when I have the A/C on and slow/come to a stop,

Any ideas?

The a/c will be putting stress on the engine as its another component running, Same as when you move your steering wheel on idle you will usually notice a dip in RPM as its using power steering. Any Honda I've had has done it.
 
As mentioned above this is absolutely normal, the AC pump will drain a fair amount of power away from the engine and at low revs you will find it will 'dip' the revs, nothing to be concerned about.

A/C is for pussies anyway.
 
Thanks, I ask because I don't think I noticed it dip low for the car to shake, but maybe because I been without it for quite a while lol, some say to clean the idle valve...

And joe- A/C is for ballers :p, while u sweat like a pig, I got my windows up and enjoying a cool breeze ;) haha!

Yes if its only just recently installed then I wouldn't worry about it, the cars not cutting out or anything, in most small powered cars with A/C you'll find this out, my seat ibiza 1.4 used to do the same when i turned the A/C on at idle.

I have to agree I was sweating my TITS off with no A/C this weekend.
 
Mines a B18C EK so on the move, its like A/C is not on, no lag or anything, it just goes :).
