hi guys, quick question.. as above i`ve got a 1997 pre facelift ek3 and i want a vti front bumper (ek9.org logo), what model does it need to come off?? many thanks in advance!
 
is the 97 vti bumper not the same as the standard ek3 bumper?? but if your referring to the ek9 in the picture at the top of the screen, its a facelift bumper which wont fit pre facelift cars
 
what a shitter!! i really want the front smooth, dont like the mouldings at all, oh well... guess ill have to colour code and lip it then. cheers tho fella.
 
they did make a pre facelfit EK9 buddy... look out for an EK9 bumper between the years of 1996 - 1998 and that will fit your can perfectly and will not have the silly little black plastic bits...

know what you mean mate i always wanted to chage them on mine..
 
so pre facelift ek9 front bumper will fit??? this is incredibly good news!! u really are the modfather, i bow to nobody.. but for you sir, i will make an exception!

yeah man i'm sure EK9 bumpers from 1996 - 1998 will fit Ek3, Ek4, and EJ9's
Sure it will fit any civic from 1996 - 1998

PLease anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong.
 
sorry mate i thought u wanted the facelift bumper so thats why i said it wouldnt fit, but yes the pre facelift ek9 bumper will fit but its different to look at compared to facelift.
 
I'm confused?! Why do you want an EK9 front bumper? Aren't they are the same as any other EK bumper just with an EK9 lip?

Pre-facelift ek9 = same as pre-facelift EK4/EJ8/EJ6 etc
Facelift EK9 = same as facelift EK4/EJ8/EJ6 etc

As stated the only different ones as those that came on the likes of the SiR, and your EK3 with the black plastic mouldings.

If you want a facelift bumper like on the ek9.org banner, it's achievable. All you need is:

Facelift front bumper
Facelift headlights
Facelift front wings
Facelift bonnet
Facelift front grill

And vice versa for facelift - pre facelift

thats why!!! dont want shitty plastic mouldings, plus that bumper is as sweet as a nut, i take it the rear 96-98 ek9 bumper will fit too, this is all very good news.. ill sleep well tonight!

Sure will mate, as far as I'm aware the facelift one will fit no problem too :nice:
 
josh i'm sure the ek4's came with the side moldings aswell mate,
the 2 i've owned have had the moldings....
i thought it was only the EK9's in pre facelfit that came without the moldings i think everyother civic in the range had the moldings other than the EK9 in pre-facelift guise..

facelift however i don't think any came with the modlings...

It would appear I stand corrected :blabla: :D

EJ8/EJ6 definitely came without the strips on the front bumper, rear bumper is different though obviously as it's off a coupe. Same with 4 door EK4/VTi's, pretty sure some pre-facelifts came without rub strips on front and rear bumpers.

As for hatch, think you're right, only EK9
 
Lol, yeah i only meant the hatch's mate.

i completely overlooked the fact that EJ6 and EJ8 are coupe's got confused with EJ9 you see. hence why in my first post it says EK3 EK4 and EJ9 then i changed it to EJ6 and EJ8 thinking i had miss typed with the EJ9 chassis code..
well we've both learnt something from this....:secret::p
