can anyone give an explaination on the advantage or disadvantage by using the oversize TB ( 70mm ) instead of stock ITR TB with the stock engine ? Is there any improvement to the engine respond or not ?? How about the pick up ? I ride ej7 with stock ITR 96 and do not use any modification yet on the engine. Already have plan to rebuild the engine....hehehe...please explain me on that course..

bigger tb means more air can go in,more air hence more fuel..heheh...i've tested my friend's car which is using 70mm tb.but with ported head and ported intake runner and intake mouth.he is using jdm 96 itr b18c as well which is stock standard.from what i feel, his engine feels light.it revs nicely and smooth.if you want to use 70mm tb,make sure u port the intake mouth to suit the 70mm diameter of the tb so that no air will be disturbed.just my 2cent.

I read your other thread and I gave you my opinion there. I think that your friend that is using a 70mm throttle body on a B18C without proper tuning, porting and cams, I don't think he is getting the most out of the 70mm throttle body. Like I told you in that thread, you'll feel the car more responsive from the "pedal" but I really don't think you'll gain that much with a stock motor. Remember that "butt dyno" doesn't work on that kinds of mods :)

I think you should buy a aftermarket ecu, intake, and header before thinking of changing the throttle body.

Now if you have the money, and access to a dyno you should give a try, maybe you can get a couple of more hp out of your car.

Anyways is your car man, we can give you some advice but if up to you to decide. :blinx:

thanks for all the advice...actually for the time being i'm going to install the 70mm TB with the skunk 2 intake manifolds with fuel regulator, n spoon rechip ECU...don't u think this setup will increase my air flow intake thus increase maybe a little horse power...hehe..some said that below than B20b not required larger TB, but i'm not agreed with that...my fren use 70mm TB in his B16a with the new set up and he make 170 on dynamic dyno....hehehe..anyway still need an advice on engine responce and accelaration..... because some says it will be nice but some says it's not...tq

whether it's good or bad, you have already answered your own question.

u're right bro....but how about the acceleration & respons with the stock engine...still confuse that thing..Need some advice from all the member before go to the setup...

Don't shy to bring up ur post n advice.....we can share ur skill n as much as our skill...tq

Why is this your first mod?Listen to rvm get exhaust manifold,de-cat and decent cat back and ull see more gains. Then cold-air feed to standard air box with resonators took out with decent drop in filter. What is the point on upgrading your throttle body and intake mani if you havent got a good flowing exhaust first?

that's correct bro, actually for 1st modification almost people doing is a I/H/E....maybe he wants gets more respons and on his engine first....for the next step continue with header n exhaust system...anyway, bard2800 can share the experience on his mod with stock engine... don't forget post ur feedback...

thanks for ur opinion...actually i will do the modification on the exhaust and cold air intake together with the TB and skunk intake manifold....so,my concern right now is on the engine response and the acceleration...with this setup will it gain any power to the stock ITR 96 engine with the standard ITR 96 gearbox ..???

still need more advice before go to the setup..tq:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:

bard, r u running these setup now?any updates?if its worth it, then i'll be following you..

already run all the set up ( 70mm TB,skunk2 intake manifold,2.5 inch exhaust system and after market ( ARC ). Feels a lot of different in torque and response. Thanks for all the advice.:naughty:

i would say a tapered itr spoon tb vs a 68mm tb !
a dyno comparison on a light tuned i/h/e/ecu B engine should really help.
