As the title states, a friend of mine, si looking to have a 5 lug conversion to his JDM Integra Sir.
He has come about a CTR 5 lug conversion, but he wanted originally the ITR one. Is this the same?
What are the diofferences between the ITR and CTR?

Thanks in advnace....

Yeah there the 5 lug ITR and CTR are the exact same:)

Anto Thanks,
I hope youre refering to the complete conversion? (brake rotors, calipers, hubs, etc). Not only the wheel pattern....

Yeah Rotors(Disc's), Calipers and Hubs are all the exact same:nice:

not exactly... if I recall correctly they are basically the same but a I think the 5 lug from an ITR will protrude the area w/ a difference of +5mm vs the CTR if you were installing it on a civic.

ex. your +35 rim would now be +30 using an ITR conversion ( or it could be said the same for 5-lug conversion period.) I'm a little rusty, since I haven't looked into it for a while now.

Damn I thought they where the same!

They ARE the same.

The hubs on the CTR/ITR are what gives it the extra track width. This has been increased accordingly from the base model DC2s and EK4s respectively.

ok thanks :drive:

this is interesting.
So basically the difference would be axle lenght maybe?

they are the same. only the difference is in the JDM ITR axle size of 36mm vs. 32mm on the CTRs and other ITRs

Hi, this is still kinda relevant to 5 lug conversion. I just bought a set of ek9 5 lug conversion. When I was changing out the pads and rotors, I notice a lot of rust around the knuckles (front and rear) and the calipers have some rust as well. There's no crack or anything just a lot of rust build up. Is safe for me to continue mounting it on or should I take it apart and clean off the rust and then paint or powder coat them?

you should clean them first as rust could propagate and weaken the arm.

If you live in an area that has a caliper exchange program, that may be an option for you as well to quickly and effectively get a re-man'd caliper in place without having to deal with rust/paint/powder coating.

any suggestion on how to clean out the rust? Should take everything apart like the 5 lug spindle and bearing to seperate the knuckle? Just kinda worried about taking the spindle and bearing apart because I'm not familiar with that nor putting it back together properly. But any suggestion or help would be great!

Oh yea, what's a caliper exchange program? And how does it work? THx
