I'm not sure what header that is, but it looks like it's already been dented to hell.

The header will probably provide a margin of increased performance, but the potential won't probably be realized until you have the power FC mapped to suit.

B16A/B16B motors should not use 4-1 headers unless you are running some very high/big compression and cams and revving very high. The minimal gains one would get from going to a 4-1 at high rpm is offset by the overall gains a PROPER 4-2-1 can provide all over the rev range.

Yes, I would like to ask same question too.

Wich is the better, an aftermarket 4-1 (for instance Megan Racing - I use it now) or stock EK9?

My car is an EK4 VTi (chipped P28, EK9 manifold, Simota CAI, skunk catback, OBX cat.converter, Megan 4-1 header) and comming soon the EK9 cams + valve + retainer.

Is the EK9 header outlet so big?

mind if i ask a bit to ragingangel szabb1?

why does "B16A/B16B motors should not use 4-1 headers unless you are running some very high/big compression and cams and revving very high"?

is it ok to have 4-1 headers on stock engine?or not?

on stock engine you will lose torque at low mid range with 4-1 header and from factory b16a/b16b are torqueless motors so you need a 4-2-1 for better low-mid range power..

I much prefered my 4-1 on my b16 rather than 4-2-1, your lacking low down torque in the first place so better IMO to improve on what you have, power up the revs.

Iv got a 4-1 for my b18 too for the same reason :nice:

I need to get a 4-2-1! , I have to agree that you do loose some of the what is already lacking low-mid range torque but with my DC sports 4-1 the is a noticable gain at the high end (not massive but definately noticable) ,and tbh when your driving it "enthusiasticaly" your never really out of the high end anyway, and when you change gear it "bogs down" less than before which is good!

the mainreason I need a 4-2-1 is that the 4-1 i have leaves NO clearance for my H-brace , its currently touching it all the time and annoying the hell out of me!

This approach is perfectly sound too...which is why I suspect Spoon offers a 4-1 header for the 16A.

Some have gone a major step further and used vtec killer cams with ITBs to make it a super peaky revvy big bike motor of sorts :D

Tegiwa are doing toda v2 replicas on here i run a toda v2 and its amazing,,
