Hi fellas, I'm making my little section for my CGP EJ9
Bought it as my first car and it has (after 6 months of ownership) just under 73k on the clocks. Bought it with 68k miles
She runs great, no knocks or anything like that and thus far only major scare has been when I decided to fall off a roundabout thanks to some diesel haha!
but anyway! Some pictures down below.
How she first sat, with genuine Honda hubcaps and all! haha (subwoofer was added not too loud, sounds really clear in the car)
Got myself some O.Z Racing Ultralaggera 4x100 15inch. Not in the best of condition but they're a fair bit wider than the steelies, lighter and give the car a better look picked them up for a steal as well!
Car is in desperate need of a colour coding treatment. Slight scuff on front bumper from previous owner
OMP deep dish steering wheel I'll be picking up saturday with a boss kit
removed the rear and will be giving the cables a proper tidy once I get the other interior I'm picking up on saturday
Plans for her are as follow:
Different interior (won't mention it just yet but won't be something you guys have seen before)
Deep dish wheel + boss (picking up on weekend)
SiR tacho cluster
sort out passenger side window electric motor (seems knackered)
OEM cupholders, type r gaitor
custom made pokeball shifter (I've been a big fan so this is just my own spin
Some sort of 4 point harness (will decide on which brand is best for me when it comes to that stage)
put rear back in but with new interior (It's a daily so it has to be convenient)
Exterior:
Type R front and rear lips (may actually get a mugen rep for the front)
Type R grill
Colour coded side strips and mirrors
Bomex extended wing
Possible respray (May go white or black. CGP is sort of a pain to keep looking good)
Rear quarter tinted windows
Refurb wheels and get some proper boots for it. Might go for the tried and tested AD08's
Full underseal
Performance / Handling:
Rear seambrace (getting a tegiwa one)
uprated LCA's
uprated droplinks
anti roll bar
Meister R coilovers (will be getting these in about 2 months I refuse to use el-cheapo springs)
Get better discs + pads. Might go with the EP3 fronts with MG ZR rears.
Fast track set up
Engine:
Get B16a, take it apart and make sure it's a solid motor (for good reason)
Fidanza clutch + flywheel (may delve into something different but not sure)
4-2-1 mani, going to possible Spoon-N1
Will be keeping as many goodies as possible. Power steering etc will all be staying
once I'm happy with everything, I'm going to go nitrous.
Some may say going turbo is better, but I want something a little different
25/50 shot should be fine on stock internals, but will likely do some work to block, pistons, rods, seals etc while engine is apart.
