282mm upgrade on ek4

Vti front brakes won't make a difference, the facelift EJ9 had the same brakes as a vti on the front (262's). I wouldn't bother changing that master cylinder for that. Standard prop value will be fine.

IIRC you can't use the 1" MC without the associated booster.

Non ABS lines are fine.

I'd only go 1" MC and servo if you've gone to 282s up front. Even with that, you can use the standard lines and prop valve. It's only when you start messing about with prop valves if you're doing a rear disc conversion.

I've done this all on my own car so if you have any questions, just ask!

Can I not use a master cylinder EK4 without installing rear discs? I'd rather not go through that effort

EK4 or MB6? You mentioned MB6 before which is 1", the EK4 one is the same you have in your car already.

Ek4 he means. He currently has a standard ej9 one. Just swapped the brakes

Yeah what Pete said.

I have a ej9 with a 262 brake and hub conversion off a EK4. The pedal feel is soft even though it's been vacuum bled several times.

New pads front and rear.

Still have drums at the rear.

Pedal feel being soft would say incorrectly bled lines/pads not bedded in yet to me.

If it was the MC, you'd have the brakes being actuated further down the pedal rather than what you're describing!

You can use either 99-00 EJ9 or EK4 master cylinder and servo, they are the same(at least in Europe).
