As above.. I can't get tyres in 195/55/15 that I want (bridgestones) Thinking of getting Hankook RS-2's But which is the best fitment for OEM 15" wheels?
General fast road use, mainly on b-roads. Tried a search but not conclusive!
Thanks in advance :nice:

I've decided to get some Michelin PE2's, had them on my clio williams & clio trophy & they were good, everyone on Clio trophy forum swears by them for everyday road use. Went for 195/50/15- smaller sidewall & cheaper too.. I'll find out if they're any good over the next few weeks..
Initial impressions are good, much improved feel from heavier steering, although previous tyres were Yoko C-Drive which i don't think suited the car at all.
Mark.

I hope your car is lowered; even then a 45 profile sidewall is tiny on 195/15's, your fuel economy will go down. Acceleration will feel a lot better but man comfort would be a major issue with this size!

Josh..

Indeed, plus Toyo T1-R are ass.

I'm happy with my decision of going with the PE2's. Would def recommend going 195/50/15. Gearing is slightly closer due to smaller diameter tyres. Makes it easier to keep the car on the boil. Tyres seem to be pretty decent all round. Although sidewalls are softer than Bridgestones, having 50 profile adds a bit of natural strength over 55 profile.
Speedometer may over-read slightly, but this doesn't bother me tbh.

I bought 4 Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's about a year ago and had no probs with them. They are a really good all round tyre and they also look nice. I paid £160 for 4 195/50/15 as garage had a special offer on at that time. My speedo is only very slightly out I'd say about 2-3 mph at most. Would I buy them again? Yes in view of price and performance. :)

Go with 195/50, i've ran 205/50 before and tbh there was no advantage to this at all

the 195/50 have a stiffer sidewall so give a sharper steering feel, slightly smaller rolling radius, they are also lighter!!

If you are looking for something relatively cheap try yoko parada spec 2's

Alternatively I have a set of 4 Potenza RE11 in 195/55/15 which will be for sale soon
