Up for sale is my current daily use motor. Its a 1999 Honda Civic Coupe in Inza Red (very rare). Its a cracking car and a perfect, standard and unmolested base model for somebody to start mucking about with if wanted, or an ideal daily for somebody like it has been for me.

Been 100% reliable since getting the car, helping Amanda and I get about while the 205 has a burst bottom end, the Golf having a pumped gearbox and my EK turbo having no brakes.

Would also make a very good first car. Was very surprised at insurance prices for this car. My fiancee's brother got a quote, he is 18 with zero no claims and was quoted only £1100, which just now i think is very reasonable considering people pay the same/more for a 1.0 Corsa.

MOT
The MOT expires on 31st August 2012, but will put a fresh MOT on it before sale. Reason its not been done yet is so i can put it in for 13 month MOT as of 1st August. I have absolutely no worries about this going through an MOT. Will be surprised if there is even an advisory on anything.

TAX
Road tax just renewed start of July so tax until end of December 2012.

PREVIOUS OWNERSHIP
Was a family owned car up until i purchased it. Before me, owner had for 5 years and sold it due to upgrading to a Blob Eye Impreza STi. Was his mothers car for 6 years before his. She bought it from Honda dealership in Glasgow, it being owned by dealership's manager beforehand. In total, 3 previous owners.

PAPERWORK
Been a very well kept car. All old MOT's are present to verify mileage (well below average for ages) Timing belt was replaced at 56k, doesnt need done for another 25k yet or 3 years (whichever comes first)

SERVICE HISTORY
Service history in the book up until 56k (when belt was done), from then on there is no paperwork for servicing. Previous owners claimed to have had car serviced every MOT it had (approx 8k a year over the past 5 years) and have taken there word for it due to how good condition the car is. I inspected the spark plugs, air filter and oil and all are healthy colour. It will be due a service around now.

EXTERIOR
The Coupe has a couple of car park dings and scratches typical of a 13 year old car, and slight laquer peel on the front bumper, but other than that it is immaculate. There is not one little bit of rust on this car, still having the original paint it left the Honda factory from, apart from the front bumper which was subject to a respray in 2007 to remove stonechips (receipt for proof). Genuinely one of the cleanest & most original Civic's i've seen for years.

The alloy wheels are a very rare, factory optional extra from new. 15" and all tyres have plenty tread on them and are matching. Pretty sure to get these wheels along with car when new was over £1200. Nice looking wheels, and in not too bad condition either.

Being a facelift model it comes standard with the 50/50 red/clear rear tail lights and also boot spoiler. Personally, OEM front and rear lips would finish this car off, and maybe colour coding, but its very nice as it is.

INTERIOR
Basic grey cloth seats. Comes with electric windows, electric heated mirrors, electric tilt/slide sunroof & air conditioning. Has a Clarion CD player fitted. Immaculate condition inside also, very clean and tidy, no wear on the seats or carpet.

REASON FOR SALE
Reason for sale is that it will soon be surplus to requirement. I am in the process of purchasing a comfortable diesel for doing the 70miles a day journey to and from work. The money is also to aid me with getting the front brakes i really want for my EK.

PART EXCHANGE?
It is a possibility at the minute. My dad is looking for a small, cheap to run car just now, so could possibly do a part exchange deal with cash going either way for a nice cheap runaround. Something like a nice Golf GT TDI or Clio diesel, but he's still open minded.

Require any more info, let me know.

I go on holiday 1st August until 10th, so MOT will be booked in once i return home if new owner wishes for the near 13 months. Or price can be negotiated for taking car with no new MOT and you can do it yourself.

£1400 ono - im up in Falkirk (Central Scotland).

Cheers

Steve
