16 inch-what tyre size to get?


205 45 16, i have 2 here for you Toyo T1R 7.5mm of tread left so nearly new.

Depends what brand your going for, just thought could save you some money.
 
you also have to bear in mind the width of the wheel I find wider tyres helpfull as that way the kerb struggles to have a go at your expensive alloys
 
this depends entirely on the width of the alloy. A 7J wheel needs a 205 profile tyre anthing under i would recommend 195 profile. With a 16" wheel you would probably need the 45mm height to avoid rubbing. SO my choice would be 205 45 16 or 215 45 16 if you have a 7J alloy and the offest is good. :nice:
 
I run teamdynamics 1.2. 7x16 et 37. I run 215/40 front. and 195/45 rear. Both have roughly the same profile, just got the bit extra at the front to help with putting the power down and mainly helping with understeer.
 
195/45 has the tiniest bit of stretch on my 7j, but more or less fluch with the rim.

205/45 is completely flush, and 215/40 is better then i thought tbh, the lower profile doesnt make it look big at all. TBH you cant go wrong with any of these.
 
205 45 16 is best for driving on the roads.

205 40 16 looks the best, obviously being a 40 profile doesn't give the rim as much protection.
