16" DC2 rims...spacers?

I read some where you need spacers to fit the DC2 16" rims (16x7 +50) with 215/45 tyres, can anyone confirm this? My EK9 is lowered to the top of the tyre. I can get them cheap but have to order them from a used parts place (upgarage.com).

i have dc2 rims on my ek with no spacers. no problem at all. my opinion the dc2 rims 98 spec is the best for eks
