It can be used without the nut but as said the gear markings wont line up straight. The nut can be got at any decent hardware style shop.

Ok. Ive another question sorry folks. I know now that you require a momo boss/hub for a momo steering wheel and a omp boss/hub for a omp wheel. Now is there specific "models" or will any momo boss/hub fit any momo steering wheel??

Can someone clarify that this is the case for all hubs/boss with aftermarket steering wheels? Is there such a thing as a universal boss/hub that will fit all steering wheels?

Cheapness does affect quality in most cases I do agree. Others you are just paying for brand name. Also you have to take into consideration what use it is for? On the Track or daily driver ?
