Go b18c is the best option. If you sold the b16b it wouldnt cost much at all. Your looking at (if a garage did it for you) £4000+ for ITB's and stage 2 cams. Where as a b18c conversion doing it yourself would cost about £1000, if you sold the engine.

I havnt raced a dc5, but ive raced a few ep3's and it out accelerates them prety quickly! with the new cams etc it should make easy mince meat of standard ones.

yes it does. But the sport which this car originaly was had a d16 engine which is the same gearbox and engine pattern as a B series.

lol nooooooo...a Ep3 weighs 1201 kg and a ep2 sport weighs 1149. I think with the perspex windows, lighter wheels/lugs and the bits of carbon i have im coming in at below 1060. My front seats were 29kg each and the back bench and back was 23kg. My original windows alltogether weighed like 48kg...

i knw lol. Alot of people do ask that, but like i said it just saved me money to do it this way. And it just so happened to be the only one in the world lol. I would of loved to go k20, but the fab work was abit more extreme. If i done that it would of just been an ep3, and a huge waste of time...

well the engine the car came out of had done just under 11,000 miles and then hyeline rebuilt the engine. Yeh vtec6 it does pull very well! I will have an exact bhp figure next week when its all set up! The car atm is at performance autoworks being set up.

I dont really know mate. Before the cams and head work etc.. it was R/R'd 3 times all with similar figures around 214-221bhp. It should be between 240-250bhp. Thanks for the comments guys!
