    K20 costing and requirements

    We did a conversion back in te day in a ek4 with a k20a swap. We fabricate most of the parts so ended up costing the customer around £1000 plus engine. Still runs fine today as far as I know. Good luck.

    Hi the plan was to change the internals for a forged supercharger setup so was a cheaper option to run the b18c4 block instead of b18c6 etc. He ended up not forging it as he didn't want it any quicker?!?!! Don't ask lol

    Boost with oem rods

    Hi we run upto 6/8psi safely on most b series depending on compression. That is using a td04 or td05 (Subaru).After 3 years of running a forced motor on 8psi it was stripped to have forged internals and everything was still within perfect tolerance So yes you can do it but dont go greedy on boost.

    EK9 feeling a bit slow lower down....

    Try a new set of plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm. as b series engines rely on a good quality spark. Can effect bottom end performance more than top on some cases due to high compression.

    We had to baffle the sump on a lotus elise with b18 conversion as the cornering forces were a lot higher. Oil pressure also dropped round certain long right hand corners.     b16a2 rebuild?

    Hi as mentioned above the valve stem seals will be worn as compression test results are still high. In my opinion i would not worry about it as it will just burn a little more oil and will not effect performance.

    Gear box prob

    If it is the case that it crunches at high rpm's it could be 4th gear syncros. Try changing gear by allowing the revs to drop more and see if it still crunches. If it doesnt then it is the syncros that are worn and need replacing. If it still crunches then as said above use mtf.
