I fitted an EK9 one to my EJ9 along with subframe, anti roll bar etc. it made a noticeable difference but I don't recall lock to lock being any quicker than EK4 have been in. Would be interested to know.

Unusuall indeed to see the conversion being done, I'm sure the wheels are light and well made etc being rays but not really to my taste.

Looks really well, don't think vinyl reg's are allowed but they should be provided they are as clear...
