on the nearside driveshaft there is a bearing should you have any play in it?

ohh yes, and make strange noises. also in the very wet it tends to understeer like a bugger but in the dry it sticks like s**t to a stick

is there any way of telling what lsd my ek9 might have fitted to it?

when your cambelt broke previously it didnt snap the head of the valves then?

sorry hold on reading this back i am useing 5w 30 not 5w 40. still fully synthetic. As for consumption it does use a bit i drive the car to work and back a bit of easy driving and then some hard driving. put a bit in every 2.5 week i would say. less than .25 l

i couldnt even get 10w 30 the other day so i was pointed in the direction of some 5w 40 fully synthetic. seems to be good.

it has always made the noise but i have only had the car about 2 months. it doesnt matter how long i have bin driving. but just to clarify it only happens at very low speed. (parking)

used the oil grade specified by the autodata book in work, the brand was morris. whats the difference between full lsd and the standard one? i will try and get a video on yuotube.

i am not sure about this. it doesnt do it in reverse at all, and when you are in slight lock you get a knocking noise aswell. changed gearbox oil and no difference.

its not getting any noisier but you can even feel it on the steering a bit

well im just the other side of the water in cornwall but plymouth is like a 15min drive. are you going to the south west motor show, i think its in june.

when i am driving on full lock my car has a whining noise, but only if i am accelerating. if i am on lock and coast it in gear i get no noise but a bit of throtle and the noise is there. it happens both ways, any ideas or is it just the lsd working? i am going to change the gearbox oil this...
