Yeh, fully agree with you the best way i can say it is trough a conversation with a guy who i bought a few parts off, He has an accord euro r mapped on an omex ecu (mega money) the dogs nuts like, he wanted it mapped on hondata, but tuner likes to up sell, why make ££ on hondata when he can...

    Mapping the 9

Yeh I like the idea of tweeking maps at a later date if you get me and chrome is freeware so its pretty easy to do by someone whos knows what there at. Yeh hondata is the top choice for honda ecu upgrades, I cant rem the resolution of the peramiters of each. read reviews on chrome and...

    Mapping the 9

I would agree with the lads above on the hondata, it is favoured by many tuners yet I don't own one, i do have cars on chrome, install and tune at a fraction of the cost of hondata. (as well hondata company are cu@ts but thats nothing to do wit best setup) Id say at any stage if mods have been...

    Your opinions?

Yeh did you get some pics of it in Japan??? Deal breaker I'd say... Your dead right to be picky, DD and gumtree are painfull when you see the add and then car is not "mint" or "not smokey", usually find the longer the owner has had the car the better the condition. Best ek9 I ever had...

Going to try non water based coolent for 2013

?? I'd say you know more about it than me rich, was just some conversation I picked up from somewhere, but what I'm saying you clarified simply " we find cooling benefits from running close to pure water compared to 50/50 mix" no need "to personally dig deeper" never liked the idea of just...

Going to try non water based coolent for 2013

Yeh definitly no argument just saying that water is the best liquid for dicipating heat...... Either way its not for me as its cost over potential benift, fit a coolant swirl pot to the system, Self bleading and removes hot spots/air pockets, one on a slider never looked back.:drive:

Going to try non water based coolent for 2013

Heard it before as well, yet the addition of coolant is to stop corrosion, lower freezing point and slightly raise boiling point, Any car thats been looked after changing the fluids when due doesnt need this surly? Cant wait to see the follow up to op :2050, 70 odd yr of age driving a ek.......
