I have been using a B16a motor for the past 2 years for track racing with little to no issues. I use a fully synthetic oil and do service's as per service manual. Only issues I've had are clutch but using a stronger issue now and over-heating due to seriously hot weather which a bigger radiator...

It's a black stamp on top of the box at the bell-housing just above the clutch fork. Hope that helps...

Ok so friday I fitted the Hytech and the difference in noticeable. At low rpm it is quieter and more responsive than the J's, going up through to vtec it's so much smoother!!! Power feels slightly more throughout the rev range even up at 8000rpm where the 4-1 "should" be better suited. So...

Thanks Manos will check it all out... I had it on my EK4(B16A6 shorter block) with no problems. We then fitted it to a mates B18C6 ITR and it interfere'd with the 1-piece reinforced block to gearbox brace, we swapped the brace for the 2 piece B16a part which solved that. A/C & PS not in the...
