  • I know how to check timing, and have an idea on correcting it, however i have never needed to do it. I know its not the awnser you are looking for, but i would go and invest in a haynes manual, mine has been a saviour at times, and has helped me understand/learn more each time i refer to it!
I currently have a 87 EF that my brother gave me and one thing i notice was that it had to be timed, but i have no clue how to do it.I don't want to take it to a mechanic because i want to do it myself..Is there any advice you guys can give me on how to do it?? My brother said he had someone come and timed it and if it is timed i went to go charge my battery and it still wont turn on..Is there a possibility that my engine is blown?
