It's a convertible that alone does make it a hairdressers car also heavier than need be with poorer handling than a tin top version in almost every car ever built. sure they are good but so are boxsters elise etc still they are all girls cars it's ok to be a hairdresser if that's your thing

Yep mk2's are a good car I've had an 8 and a 16v a bit heavier than the mk1 I still have but still lighter than an ek9 so drop in a turbo conversion and quicker too a granny with a gti awesome! What's the spec & price on it? Cheers chris

I always wanted one of those but after my UNO turbo I decided against it! Was the leather STD I bet the ek9 feels a bit sluggish compared but I suppose the ek9 handling makes up for it somewhat, but they still need a turbo to make them quick enough IMO chris

hi mate i have an engine 62000 miles no rattles or smoke but has been removed from car im in scotand in brechin if you want to come and have a look im after £900 ono for bare engine i have inlet manifold etc but guess your not really needing that cheers chris
