Hi all i am thinking about getting a new car. I will have around 10-15k for the right car but i only want to spend 8-10 if i can.

I want something newer thats going to be a nice quiet drive that offers comfate at the same time.

I was thinking a bmw 330d e92 but i have heard alot of horror stories about faults that occur ect.

What kind of thing would you get if your were after the above. Also what would be your reason to your choice. Its hard as i only like/trust honda and i have had them for 6 years now. Really dont know to much about modern cars.

M3 for 7k and 3k left for maintenance and insurance etc. :)

I wouldn't have a modern german car, I hate working on them as they are over engineered which makes them difficult, and the quality has gone

For a vehicle that fits the things you want I would look at a Mazda 3 mps,

Maybe an Accord euro r CL7. More comfort and still a reliable Honda.

What about a DC5? an Accord is everytime a good choice. let us know

Yeah the mk1. There meant to be great cars to drive and i couldnt see them losing there value by much over the nxt few years

I'm on the same boat, with the same amount of money to spend and idea  was even thinking about a 330d also, but again heard a few horror stories.

Was thinking about a 350z but again I'm sure there are better cars for the money

Going to get burned but porsche boxster s? Great handling, good built quality, plenty hp and convertible. A proper car enthusiast will respect the boxster s.

Another vote for a Mazda 3 mps or the 6 ? Think that's the saloon version.

Can get late model ledgend 3.5 v6 for less than 8k.

The Accord if you want build quality and reliability. BMW and most modern day diesels are unreliable so any money you save from the better economy? will be spent on repairs.

Agree on the Boxster, lovely chassis and very afordable sound good too. What about 996?

Mazda 3 MPS cracking engine not much feedback, but very tuneable.

I would never own a 350z out of choice. My mate has one and it is not the quickest thing around for the engine size.

This is the problem with having owned Hondas for along time, for there engine size they punch way above there weight, so anything that isn't 3L or higher or turbo charged and it feels like you've gone backwards lol
Perhaps an s2000?

For me it would be a 330d manual and remapped

Or if your not arsed about economy a 335i petrol. Just youtube them sound incredible and go like stink. Most will average over 30mpg too

MK5/6 Golf GTI maybe?? Depending on your price. 10-15k can get you a decent MK6 one and 8-10k (maybe less) can get you a mint MK5.

IMO it suits your criteria, nice and quiet when you want to (especially the MK6 with excellent sound deadening) and have the oomf when you step on it.

FD2 if u want to keep it honda.. If not i would always vote for an evo 9. Awesome all round cars and one i will own again for sure. The fq 360 is the best out of them all if your looking into one. Or diesel I would recommend the skoda rs, 170 bhp and with a remap will see 200ish, alot of power for a diesel.
