there doing ther job, if you don't want the car to vibrate put back the OEM ones.

what hardness did you get?
also who makes the mounts?

very hard ha no real make on it there is some movement alri..them torque mounts have a serious affect in ek's unlike eg's i think its to do with the vertical mount at the cam pulley side as apposed to the horizontal on eg's

you bought two BILLET ALLUMINIUM mounts and expected them not to vibrate

common sense man common sense

ha ha just actually never tout of it tbh..ah wel wil just get used to it

only replaced two under chassis legs tranny mount and a/c bracket one

why would you buy solid billet mounts?

i have Innovative Mounts a75 which is the middle hardness and my car shakes like ****

if you don't know the hardness of the rubber compound then it's not worth purchasing - especially if one is concerned with vibration.

i dont know what kind of mounts i got its like full poly or something but panels break loose inside.... damn oh well ill take a picture of my mounts and post them on here

You tracking the car?

Why not go for SPOON, MUGEN or Hard Race?

why spend that much money on SPOON ,MUGEN when you can get

Hasport , INNOVATIVE , Avid at half the price and just as good :nice:

If you bought Solid Billet Alluminum mounts then i reckon you would get mega vibrations.

If i was ever going to buy a full Mount set it would be the Hardrace 5piece set. Heard nothing but good things about them and the full set cost's around £200, which is much cheaper than the Mugen and Spoon 5piece sets which cost around £330-360

Chet have what mounts have you got?

i was thinking about going for hasport with the 70a anyone else have this?

He's only installed tourqe mounts, those are the 2 weeny mounts that sit up the very front.
Im a little suprised that you get so much vibration. It cant be worse than having the 3 main mounts.

there's a reason why they are called torque mounts.

the restrict/limit the motor's "torquing" motion. It's an issue with leverage as those small mounts are at the very bottom/front of the motor which is subject to the most force.

If you've ever removed the torque mounts with only 3 stock mounts in place and ran it on a dyno or even just revved it from the throttle body, you'd see the motion is quite violent and can often affect gear changing ability.

With the mounts that chet has listed above - it is possible to remove the torque mounts because the hardness of the mount is enough to counteract the overall torquing force.

Subsequently, you can also save around 8-10lbs or so by the removal of the steet and cast iron/aluminum mounts attached to the transmission and block respectively.

if there is rubber used in the middle of the mount it will take a few mounts for it to bed in, that's what happened on my mugen & spoon mounts i have used
