Got a little bit done this weekend.. new alternator belt and OE plugs installed, and I went over the rear brakes as I didn't know the condition of them. A couple of slider pins were seized, but a light sanding and some new grease cured that. Fortunately the pistons were moving smoothly.
My problem with the ABS sensors turned out to be a miss. When I got the car, I was told the rear ABS sensors were shot, and I got some replacement items with the car. Turns out that it was the replacements that were wrong, the EK4 ABS sensors bolt up just fine to the DC2 bits. Only difference is how the wiring is laid out along the RTA. Whoo.
Too bad I did a transplant on one of the DC2 sensors, using the EK4 wiring and DC2 sensor before I noticed this. Hopefully it'll work somehow.
Everything in the back is bolted up, and I will re-torque everything when I get some weight on the suspension.
Not really hellaflush, but it'll work for winter. I've got plenty of time to figure out what blingin' wheels I'll be running for summer.
Had an old steering rack bush kit from Energy suspension lying about, so I figured I'd just as well put that on while I was at it :
Got to work on the front dampers, picked them apart and modified some dust boots to fit, along with bump stops.
And finally, I got the engine back in. And the new engine mounts made a massive difference compared to the old ones!
