So, i've always fancied an S2000, but being fussy it had to be the facelift version with the 17's glass rear window, xenons, led rear lights etc etc

Details:

1 previous owner
30k miles full honda service history
GT hardtop and case etc
GT rear spoiler

fitted my jvc axv33 single din dvd player today and 30gbb harddrive so thats the tunes sorted.

Plans:
Front OEM splitter
Possibly lower it if i can find a sus kit that doesnt make it any firmer than standard
Adjustable camber arms, full FRS
Remove front reg plate bracket and fit a smaller reg plate, smooth holes over if needed? (finishs off the front end IMO)

Thats all off the top of my head, will see how things progress

Niiice:cool:

How does it compare to the M3?

Its obviously a completely different car, the M3 didnt feel as sharp and precise at low speed cornering, but felt more planted when cornering over 120mph.
The s2k feels more balanced too IMO, and seems to be easier to control on the limit.

Acceleration wise, there isnt anything in it upto around 100mph, but after that the M3 pulled away. I had 178mph on the clocks on the M3, the S2k has seen 150mph upto now.

I did love the M3, but i must be honest and say upto now i prefer the drive of the s2k. The high speed grunt was the M3's party piece, but how often do you want to do 120+mph? and with the massive difference in maintenance costs (tyres, brakes, etc) I am happy i'm driving the s2k tbh, it makes driving trips to the nurburgring etc more accessible :nice:

Thats gorgeous, well done, love the look of the facelift version and the GT fin is nice too. To be honest I was thinking of getting an EK9, but with the money the S2Ks go for now, I think that I would prefer one of them. Very pretty car, 50/50 weight balance and how can you beat an engine that revs to 9k.

Well done!

PS What difference to the look do the LEDs make to the rear lights?

Thanks mate, unfortunately for an 04' onward s2k they arent cheap but its sooooo worth it:)

The LED rear lights are fitted to all facelift '04 onwards s2k's, the pre-facelift ones are not LED (you can see the LEDs on the last pic of the rear below :nice:

Gave the S2k a good wash and polish today, some pics....

Again - That is stunning, I would sell my left testicle for that. I love my Jordan, but I would seriously sell and put money towards something like that. I really do think they are a very special car. I think there are so many people out there that have these and really dont appreciate what kind of motoring engineering/history they have in that car. Very sexy car, and I do think its one 2 seater/convertible that doesnt look like a hairdressers car. You have done a great job with the detailing on her, keep on to her mate, very nice example.

Ben

PS - Would you get the hard top for it? Would really finish it off nice.

Looks astonishing mate. Keep us updated!

Always wanted an S2000 but doubt I could get insured.

I already have the hardtop, its in it's case in the garage as we've had some reasonable weather recently so i left it off. I'm getting people asking for hardtop pics so i'll pop it on today if i get a chance :))

NICEEEEEE! Hardtops make S's look so much more sexier, but driving topless in the summer here in CA is also nice.

lovely motor mate, I had one for a month and they are a cracking drivers car, i would recomend to anyone.
