Spoon blue ek9, work in progress

 I'd kill to see a Spoon blue ek9 in the flesh

That would be THE Spoon blue ek9 ;-)

Update..... Its "going in" on Friday to RaceDNA for the major surgery to be done. Fettled b18, custom inlet, manifold, exhaust, fancy clutch and flywheel, custom rad, billet cam cover, uprated injectors, custom intake manifold, upgraded throttle body, custom airbox, 1000 refreshed gearbox, all new custom made bushes (made from fancy gubbins that is pliant bu reacts like solid), custom suspension, stand alone ecu, mapped to suit, corner weighted and set up, new lsd, baffled sump, Erm.... Plenty of other fancy gubbins and some neat tricks etc. Option for custom cams and cam train later in the year. Its fecking brilliant having euch wonderful, talented mates, I'm proper spoiled. And the builders are about as giddy as I am to get it done!!
Gonna be a couple of weeks or so before I get it back. Currently waiting for new tyres to be fitted... :woot:

wow its going to raceDNA? im assuming perrymoo is still there?

if this is so your gonna have a great engine man, dread to think of the cost though haha.

Its the suspension that they are most excited about ;-) And yep, its going into Pez's safe hands. The man IS a bloody genius. And a fab bloke to boot. :)

sounds good man! keep us updated that thing is gonna be awsome :)!

Should be awesome once pez is done with it. Haven't seen him in years!

Pez is still as awesome as ever, Irf.:)

I have no idea if there'll be any "work in progress" updates, and there will definitely be plenty that I won't be revealing, but its all going to be done in one go by a pair of geniuses, and they don't need me getting in the way!!!!

Just got to try to find a set of proper seats on proper subframes to get a little easy weight out of it.:)

Real hard to find, mate - I got cheeky and lucky. However I know someone witha set of 16s who wants 15s if you find some.....

Lee, can't wait to see the car when RDNA have gave it some love. I need to find myself another project. And a heap of cash.

It should be fun, that's for sure!!! Aye, they not the cheapest, however, by FAR the best value for money as this kind of work and reliability can't be found anywhere else in europe., never mind the contacts and knowledge!! Like I said earlier, I'm extremely lucky to have such good and talented friends. :)

Sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing the power figures.

Why wouldn't you reveal what your having done on a build thread?

Intellectual property rights ;-) There is no-one else that can do what they do, from a knowledge standpoint. Soooooo, don't want it "copied". Its basically what I posted in the more detailed bit. :)
Finer, conceptual detail is that it won't be about peak figure and revs, but it'll have 50% of max torque from around 2k revs. And max torque will be daft for a 1.8 revvy Honda. So it'll be "driveable" everywhere, but will go real hard when revved too.
Suspension will be ridiculous. Not gonna remove fillings or be noisy, but extremely onside when leant on. Will be very, very agile, but not twitchy. I just hope the super duper barke kit will go on under the sw's. If not, I still get ridiculous brakes, just not the "other worldy" ones.

Hahaha - is this a Friday joke? Cause its the funniest thing I've heard :D

Good luck with the build.

Lol. As ever, those that don't know, just don't know ;-) Ever wondered where a certain "copying" uk firm got a lot of their manifold design from?

And thanks :)

haha perrymoo builds have always been secretive ever since i first came across him on itr-dc2, part of the appeal for me.
