Splat's V6 build.

Wow, just read the whole build, great work dude. V6 power :wow:

Would you say the J32a3 is the best V6 engine to get?

Any more up dates

Soon, we are fitting new brakes to the car as we speak.

But untill its done, i wont post pic's.

Just read your thread from start to finish you've done an awesome job mate, keep it up!

Thanks guy.

It was from a company called Ground Designs 2000 AKA the Black Widow

Its been discounted.

Money is a bit slow, + i am trying to buy a House with my wife.

wow man nice build.
sure do like your v6's
Respect for trying something different

TBH there really isn't much you could have done about a bonnet ( hood )

thanks for the good read.

Thanks for the support.

hey bro

havent you try to do your bonnet like this one? It might work and will not look as bad as the one that you currently have

Wicked Cwick Performance's J32A2 EK - j32a.com Forum

Well i do go to that site alot, i also have a stock CF hood....just cant bring myself to cut it up just yet.

Plus, my friend is working on a new Intake......with some hope and a little magic, we feel that a stock hood will close giveing it that real super clean look.

Wow, just read the whole build, great work dude. V6 power :wow:

By far, the J32a3 is a monster.....But i would love to get my hands on a J35a8 with a stock 6 speed....very rare, out of 50 auto's sold, only 1 was a 6 speed.

But because these are so hard to find, and the people who have them know what that are worth.

Impressive build Bad choice in swaps the j series motor are fun and a hell of swap to do in our light weight body style's but the J MOTORS ARE BUNS nobody makes preformance parts for them and if they do there ultra expensive any name brand part not from ebay for these motor cost alota of mulah for the money you spent in buy and sell and swaping and customizing you could ahad a TURBO K MOTOR and been in the 11 by now these motor are nice but there extremely heavy extremely LARGE are a basiclly track motor ,I've seen a few people try to auto x these things and they have a real bad problem with understeer or over steer to lightness of the body helps in going fast but not in your turning capabilites .

Kudos to you sir for braving the harsh build months and lates nights.

But IMHO i woulda have never begun to waste my time a stock 08 si motor vs yours brothers J series in your body style come on we all the outcome SHoulda have went with the k man.

THe Honda GAme is going in so many diffrent directions i dont know why people came up with a v6 swap espically in a time where things for them are so hard to find or expensive love the work bro keep it up.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TAKE THAT HIDIOUS HOOD OFF.

What the hell is wrong with trying something new? If we were all the same it would be boring right?

I take my hat off to him, he's done a cracking job with this and is so good to see something different in the honda world.

And that hood is on there cause it has to be. If you read his build up you'd see why!

BRo Relax your self im not bashing him In any way shape or form i said the build is an impressive one and its taked alota guts to do its just not worth it imho.

ANd,Ive read his build since page 1 idk why you refered to me as if i didnt .the stocks hood fit all you have to do is cut a small section out and the top of the intake manifold sticks out but with weather stripping and some hot glue you could make it so rain wont just pour into the motor on rainy days and it will eliminate THAT GHASTLY AND IM ALMOST POSTIVE TAHT HOOD IS HEAVYYYY as **** just loook at it .

That is one awesome build.

Can't wait to see it finished and some vids of it go :nice:

I know where your coming from, i to cant stand the hood.

1 good thing about liveing in N.Y. is, i can run my car with no hood....unlike N.J, where by law i would need 1.

The weight of the hood is not as bad as you would think, it weights 1lb over stock.

You can say all you want about these new swap's...when the K swaps 1st came out the price was over 10K just to drop it in....and your still stuck with 210hp, i dont understand the whole K swaps myself, i think its a waist of my time and money.....but thats me.
I dont go around tell people that,but.. i do respect people who do any swap thats diff.

This...my car is only a toy, just somthing to blow my money on, nothing else, i am not trying to get in a mag, brake 1/4 mile's, be the fastest guy on the track....i built this to do 1 thing, to have a ton of fun, maybe next summer if you ever go to the Bakers meet, ill give you a ride.... or if your car is ready, ill give you a little race.

This is the futura of the J-swaps, just like the K series, everthing takes time.

The motor was droped about a inch, with a new intake, so now the stock hood can close....but the only other bad side of doing this is now you have to run 17's.....amybe 16 if your on the track, but 17's on the road.

This, along with my BBK, is my next thing to do over the winter.

I'm gonna hold you to that ride good sir and the friendly race.

A V in that is bonkers lol, does the airbag still work in that steering wheel mate? Not that you would have found out I hope.

I'd love a J32, but the amount of work, fettling, etc. would put me off!...and having to wear 17s!? That's pretty **** :/ This is gonna be properly quick though, can't wait to see it in action.

In the U.K., K swaps are a better base to start tuning from, that's why I'd say people swap in Ks. Don't get J series here afaik.

For the rims, since i have been useing the stock 08 Si rims, i thought it was time to go with somthing a little better.

Never knew how light this wheel was, but i hope it fits, its 17x8 with a 35 offset.
I might have to go with a 18..... but if thats the case, this i might sell the bear kit and go with Spoon Sports BBK.

I wasn't aware top-one still did the rear diffusers for EK's I will look into that!

This car is going to be mental when its done! Fair play for getting the engine sitting so low, I've only seen this done with it sticking out the bonnet before! Much Better! :nice:

Interesting swap indeed!
Would be nice to also see a turbo'ed Honda/Acura G20 or G25 5 cyl engine on a Civic or on a 5th gen Prelude :D
