Score on crankshaft main advice

Wow.
Hopefully ours don't do that after 10k lol

Haha yeah my worst fear... Then again, tough to tell what any bearings are like in an engine once it's used. Suppose you'd be able to hear it though.

I'm in the same boat really hoping it was poor workmanship. But then no guarantees the machine shop I used this time are any better. I went from word of mouth.. Only one way to find out!

I just double checked my prices with a rebore company near me. £70+ vat for sorting my crank, and amazingly they've come back with a price of £45 an hour to build my bottom end, and decided it would take two hours. Need to ring them back tomorrow and confirm but looks like I'm getting them to do my block work and build it for that price :D

Sounds like a decent price Nicole, although it doesn't look that difficult tbh.
Atleast you got someone to moan at if it goes pete-tong.

Haha that is one plus side of having someone build it! Although a lot of places still accept no blame due to the number of factors that can cause a failure..

I think I could do it, getting measurements and clearances spot on worries me though. For the price I think I'd be silly not to do it this way.
I guess I'd rather experiment with say the likes of the saxo rather than this when I'm pouring so much money into it! Although saxo bottom ends never die (touch wood) so that could never happen.
You need lots of progress pics of when you do yours now :D

That is true, if you're not confident especially! Hope it works out for us all haha.

Oh there will be pictures, many :D

I'll be sure to post pics, maybe a guide if I can be arsed with it.
