Well the Friday before Japfest I managed to get the nine finished and put back together.





While the final coat dried I got busy with cleaning the rest of the bay.

Than made a start with polishing up the paint to a good shine. Could do with another going over later to really get super shiny!



Then got on with putting it all back together.



Starting to look like it should now.

I ended up adding the final touches in the dark. So the VIN plate went back on and swapped out the nasty old and rusted wheel nuts for some Black OEM items.



And finished bay shot from Japfest.



Was a good day between the showers!

I guess a another service will be due before I decide what's going to be done next.

Nice job with the front end, I remember having to do the same thing with my 9 many years ago, worth putting a bit of clear wax oil or something to seal up the hidden seams and edges behind the bumper

Cheers Ally. Yeah was good to meet you to. Don't expect there would of been many opportunities otherwise. Still can't get over how sweet your seats are tho!

Yeah I got some clear Bilt Hamber stuffs to go on there but will have get that sorted a bit later as I was running out of time.

Haha I know. It was good to make the trip, could be possible again next year. If I've resprayed my car by then, it should be clean as yours. I've focused too much on the interior, hence the seats - the only highlight of my 9 atm haha! Yeah it looks much more better too, the jet washers are nicely hidden on the scuttle panel

Look forward to seeing your updates when you get the fresh paint on. You going for a full refresh?

Is a bit of a trek but is usually worth it. Is good when you can make a weekend of it and visit othe places etc.

Is surprising how much room there is on the scuttle to hide things.

Small update this time. Ordered a fesh K&N cone filter for the intake as it seems the dry filter is letting some rubbish in. So ordered the new one asap.





Also sorted a quick oil change and while I waited for the oil to drain I swapped out the nakkered anti roll bar bushes.








The next few bits on the nine will be refreshing various worn out parts before I can spend monies else where.

Couple of random bay shots as well.

Next update!

So bought a replacement bolster for the drivers seat plus some new alcantara but this turned out to be a lighter colour so re used the original fabric. Will let the photos do the rest of the talking

Little comparison. Wasn't the worst worn bolster I'd seen but it was starting to degrade. Will have to see if I can get the creases out in the future

Not sure when they'll be on. I need a good week end when I can get stuck in as I have new drop links and trailing arm bushes to go on as well.
