pls help guys! My ek9 has no vtec...

nope shud be loud enough. wat rpm is ur v tec coming in at
 
5,500 rpm vtec kicks in. Its not too quiet, but not loud either. I havent tried redllining it yet just about 7k rpm. It was kinda traffic last night so i didnt have a chance to gun it all he way to redline.
 
it's not necessary to redline it. it shd comes full on at 6k.
 
We tried it again at 6k the VTEC did kick in hard to redline....Eveything is OK now. hehe :)
 
I just read this thread. Glad everything is alright now sir. Now post some pix of your new 9. :)

It easily hits 100kph but vtec engagement is very mild. It feels like its choked, like something is trying not to engage vtec the way it should. Will have the valves adjusted, change oil, change timing belt, tensioner bearing(for b16a), change spark plugs to ik22, change wires. Hope this would eliminate the problem. Would the fuel filter for b16a be ok for my ek9? Or is there a specific one?
