Overrev's Civic Type R

Hi Kabayans!:D

Nice CTR Overrev!:nice:
I've always dreamed of owning one but unfortunately its not possible for us here in dubai to have a car converted to LHD.

I know some people from manila who have nice EK's as well..like Dondie & Lawrence, just dont know if you know them too.:)

Goodluck with the upgrades Bro! :)

i don't know them personally but i see them posting on the hondaclub forums, mods will come later i am more concerned with changing the rad hose, bushings, timing belt, tensioner, water pump, thermostat, thermoswitch etc. for peace of mind.

Nice CTR!

I have two friends who have CTR in pampanga..one is an orig ek9 the other is an ek2 converted to ek9..but they look both sweet..got to have lots of money to get those kind of cars..

CTR = my dream wedding car!

yup, they still fetch quite a hefty price for a 10 year old car. it costs much more to convert an EK2 to EK9. what car you drive right now kabayan? :)

I only have a 96-98 sedan sir..its the only thing I can afford..also could you help me with this?

maybe you can post some comments..I really need the inputs

hard to tell as i am a nub myself, this is my first Honda car so i don't anything much in regards to the finer details like headlights & grilles so it is best that we leave it to the pros on this board.

i plan to keep this stock until i finish modding my bike. :D

here's the video i promised, my brother came home today to celebrate Christmas with us so i had the video extracted from his phone & uploaded on u-tube.

here in the Philippines, Subic Freeport to be exact, the importer had a warehouse there where they did the conversion, it's not the best of jobs but it's decent.

man i really love to go back driving or riding those twisties again. :drive::D

hello kabayan, that road is the only decent place close to Manila where you can drive to your hearts content, here's the pic of the view on the top of the mountain, it doesn't do the scenery justice, trust me it's much more beautiful in person.

as for the AE86 it isn't finished yet but my brother plans to use it now as a track only car.

4AGZE with the supercharger pulled out, installed a CT20
Aussie made engine management system
ported head by yours truly
3angle valve job
exhaust cams on both sides (el cheapo racing cams)
lightened flywheel
Exedy 3puck metal clutch
Exedy clutch cover
JDM AE86 LSD rear differential & axle

full coilovers are coming soon., here are some more pics, i know this is a Honda forum but people here appreciate good cars no matter what brands they are.

woah!! where is this place...?? I would like to drive there someday.... its nice because its dry and no speed limit in Philippines...:nice:

btw seeing that 86 in that pic makes me wanna buy one...:D
how many HP? and do your brother use it for drifting or just track? didn't know that there's a track now in philippines?? :(

i'm getting the hang of the heel & toe maneuver as i have been practicing a lot on my brother's Capri (crap car), i even bought a friggin FILA driving shoe specially for driving the EK9 & i got to do it again last night driving uphill in the mountains nearby.

the only thing which makes it hard for me to get used to the heel & toe thing is the poor positioning of the accelerator pedal, it's height is the same as on the brake pedal so you can imagine how much more i have to twist my right leg in order to stab the accelerator, might as well learn yoga too.

the RE001 has lots of grip even when it's cold, it truly is a confidence inspiring tire, i can't wait to try it out on the track. i highly recommend this tire for those who are on a budget.
