Painted the repaired area to stop any rust, sound MUCH better IMO, induction noise FTW

I nipped the teg to Ian at Pipeworx today, to fettle the exhaust and make sure it was a good tight fit.....as ground clearance isnt my best friend!

I thought i'd try something else last weekend, a USDM rear light conversion (edges of the rear lights light up)

Sorry there is not a huge amount of detail, hopefully the pictures will
speak for themselves.

So first i removed the rear lights

You can see where the bulb holder is meant to be in the molding

I put a starter hole into it, so it would be centered.

Then i drilled the correct size hole

As you can see, you will need to file the light mould to fit the bulb holder.

All fitted flush

Then simply wire the bulb holder to the tail lights (black is earth, red with a white pin stripe is the live)

Result....

Nice build mate. And some great pictures i love to see people taking there time and doing things properly...

Shame i don't always follow that method. lol

Sweet though.

Great build mate !

Are you selling the standard wheels ?

If so give me a pm with a price.

Keep up the good work.

the 96 Integra type R is one of my favorite cars ,your doing a great job :nice:
keep us updated

looks real clean now. im a fan of 98spec+ and 97s sweet becuase they have 5 lug with the old front end. and personally i wouldnt put rotas/drags/spuns on a real type r but thats just me. lookin good anyway

The price for a 98+spec was silly in comparison to a 96 spec, i couldnt justify it although it does have a good few upgrades (wheels, hid's, brakes, rear bumper exhaust manifold)
Wheels i was changing anyway, hids cost buttons, brakes mega cheap and easy to upgrade, manifold i'll be changing eventually anyway and rear bumper doesnt fuss me but is easy to change should i want to.

For a daily driver with the odd track day, i would never personally spend the silly amount more on genuine SSR's, volks etc.......theres a point when you just start throwing money away....Plus the quality difference in the two types of rim is minimal.

Thanks for the comments though guys:nice:
