A few of you may know i recently sold my pride and joy civic eg6 with the itr engine, i'd done everything to that car and really will miss it but i needed a new project, so here it is as a few of you have already guessed......

Its a JDM DC2 with 52k miles on it, it also has D2 coilovers fitted to it and a full cheap ass powerflow eggsause on it.

Its needs some love, nothing i'm not used too as i'm a fussy bugger

The guy who had it before me had it far too low, i raised it abit but it is proving a pain to raise as the threads are full of crap, the previous owner also pealed the type are graphics off as they were faded and somebody looks to have pulled the badge off and the window graphics are worn/dead (all new ones on order  )

The wheels also needed a recon as they were all stained and some had a small scuff or two on them.

The front bumper also needs painting, as somebody has done a poor attempt at repairing a scuff with tip-ex :? and its a poor colour match.

The previous owner had also disconnected the front fog lights, so ive sorted that too :D

The boot mat was all manky and in poor condition, so Lee kindly donated one to the project .

Anyway heres the pics....

New stickers oredered, painting black again tomorrow

Old boot mat was also in poor condition, new one thanks to lee

So as i'm having new tyres fitted friday and the paint would only flake off anyway when removing the old outer wheel weights and tyres, i decided to get some new OEM wheels with original paint(thanks chris  )

I got a new rear honda badge at last

I sorted the rear bumper today, as it had the common 'sagging' problem and the thermostat had seized open, so i replaced that :D

I also de-limited it today, so no more 120mph top speed
Although i must say i dont agree with speeding on public highways

Got a quote on the front bumper being painted too, so that will be going in to get done soon,

I fixed the manifold too, replacing the gasket which was blowing between the half section of the down pipe and top.

I just about had time to pop up to pipewerx and sort the back box, as one of the hangers had snapped off the piece of crap magnaflow eggsauce.

Finally sorted out the tyres! they were driving me mad!

Went for the yoko prada spec 2's, they were so cheap at £34 each tyre valved, balanced and fitted. They let me use their jack and buzz gun which made life easier.

I know ive only fitted tyres and tidy wheels to it, but i'm much happier with the car now :D and feel like i'm starting to make progress

A few more small jobs tackled, sorted the 282mm front conversion the rears are not done yet due to having the wrong parts.

AFTER

I did however fit new rear pads to last me untill the 262mm conversion is completed. I painted all the discs and calipers too

I also sorted the battery postive connection as the crappy standard one had broke.

I cleaned the seats yesterday, this was the condition before i cleaned them

15102008668.jpg

I started off by soaking the seats in hot water, and gently rubbing the dirty stained areas

Once soaked, i foamed the seats and left it for 5 minutes and rubbed the whole seat down, i repeated this 2-3 times.

I soaked the seat with hot water again and rubbed the stubborn areas again to make sure they where now clean.

15102008673.jpg

I then got the water vac and slowly whilst pressing down firmly vac'd all the water out of the seat, its not very pleasant seeing how much dirt is in your seats :?

The fished result is miles better, gone are all the black stains grubby marks! :D

I also painted my wiper arms as they where all rusty

16102008684.jpg

So firstly i rubbed them down smooth, then i primered them

16102008687.jpg

Then gave them a few coats of black paint and a coat of laquer.

Finished result

that lovely.

As blinx said, i prefer the OEM rims to tthe new ones though.

Thanks for the comments guys, i really like the std wheels to, but they where to small and to narrow handles far better on the current 205/45/16 tyres.
I also didnt like the fact that everyone has the standard wheels on them, and wanted it to look abit different:D

I didnt realise i was parked next to you either until you just said :)

Collected a standard backbox in mint condition(thanks Teg_dc2_R
) and type R side graphics today, so ill fit them next weekend as i'm working away this week.

Looks great mate, All those little jobs paid off in the end :nice:

looks sweet matey my friend martins got the same car and hes got a carbon bonnet looks very nice ;-)

std back box is being a bit of a pain to fit, as the flange on the magnaflow eggsause is straight, and the OEM is offset so i will need to cut and weld it in the correct place.

Got some pics last night, thanks to flybikeslee,
