Hi folks,

Been on the forum for a while now, my first Honda was a Civic EK4 VTI which introduced me to the Honda scene.

Recently purchased my EK9 as I have wanted one for years. I believe this car is well known on the forum as it has documented threads since it was imported. The previous owners were Dunsy & Godfridge. Now I own it and it lives in West Yorkshire :). Only one about around me as far as I know in this area.

Managed to go for the first run in it a few days ago but didn't give it alot of stick as needed a few bits doing. Went for a proper blast last night and today and absolutely LOVE it. I thought it would be better than the EK4 and would go well, it has exceeded my expectations on all levels, im so happy with it. It sounds amazing, has a slight bark/roar at 3k revs then quietens up to VTEC at 5.2k revs and all hell breaks loose, so raspy, it goes like fook, pulls like a train in every gear.

Here's the spec:

Things done so far:

Cleaned a few times
checked over underneath etc

Fitted new steering rack boot
Front Tracking done
Fresh engine oil
Fresh oil filter

Future plans:

Tidy car up a bit more as I want it fair mint

Im really happy as it is now though. understand its rare for an EK9 to have a Spoon stroker fitted by Spoon themselves over in Japan as it has the spoon plaque on the engine.

Any comments welcome :)

Thanks, I really like them, bit different. For some reason it looks a little higher where its parked, however In my opinion it sits perfect, the back roads and country roads around my area are quite bumpy so I don't want it mega low.

Dunsy's old ek9, get some t-cut on the headlights brings them up a treat:nice:

Looking sweet mate! I know the car well and its a beast, good luck with it! :)

Going to try get some vids done of the car just to let people hear the sound of it if they havn't aswell :D

Thats on my list of things to do, my dads mate does car body work repair and has some stuff to shine up headlights and it brings them out like new

Aye its not good, my VTI was lower and had to be careful with that as scraped it a few times.

Ye I bet its one of a very little few that have it since imported. Just been out in it again, it shocks me how hard it pulls, puts a right smile on ya face when in it! :D

im gonna ask a stupid or noob question here
when people say spoon type 1 civic or integra or wherever what does that mean is it because the car has been spoon certified ?

glad to see this car is still being taken care of and not broken for parts :nice:

Ye man, I'm going to keep it in best condition as I can and tidy it up more although its really good condition as it is. Defo not getting broken for parts :D

too right it goes like fook :D great all the torque dont you think, all the time i would be driving around somewhere in 4th thinking im in 3rd just because of the pull haha. i never tried the centre caps on the alloys ever, c you put them on now looks cleaner, nice!
