So back a couple of months ago I bit the bullet and decided I would try the Kswap. A couple of months on the progress has been quite slow but steady. Funds are the limiting factor here, hence why its a slow work in progress.
But I sent away all my exterior nuts and bolts to an engineering company who very kindly zinc plated them for me for a small fee. Here is the end product.
Meanwhile I started into stripping down the underseal from the civic, and there was some amount of it on and a few guys can testify to the amount of work to be done taking it off! lol. Fortunately there weren't too many surprises and I could only find one little patch needing welding about the size of a 50p. Got it all done in the end up and started with the red oxide primer, before Stone chipping it using Tetrysol. Took near 10 cans in total. not cheap to do!! lol.
I didn't take too many pics here as this was a messy and dirty job and I didn't want to be reminded off it lol.
Whoever undersealed the car when it was imported also did a rash job around the engine bay so after a lot of persuasion it came off and I've started to sand the bay down a bit while I'm waiting for other bits to arrive. The plan is to get it on all 4 wheels in a fortnight and have it sent to get the holes in the bay welded, filled and smoothed before going to the spray shop.
In the mean time some parts have arrived like my DC sports Kswap manifold and my DC5 cams
I've also picked up Magnetic Sump and Gearbox bungs from Ricky, NI's BWR rep.
I also got myself a Skunk2 Megapower 2.5" system which is in near new condition, it wasn't cheap but its a great exhaust and will sure turn heads when shes rockin again!
I also picked up myself some OEM EK9 Shocks with Eibach 40mm springs as I decided to sell on my coilovers. The EK9 Shocks are highly recommended and with the Eibach springs I should have the perfect 'fast road' setup, without going overkill.
Comments and criticism welcome folks.
