My EK9 from Belgium - (Updated p4)

Finaly took the time to make some updates to this topic (see page 1 also).

I've had the 9 for almost 2 years now and still lovin every single bolt of it :))
The last year I've been driving it every day (as my brother crashed my other civic:(() and I'm gettin to know it better and better in corners and such.
In the mean time I've been on the track with it, and boy I was amaaaaaazed with the handling!!:nerv:
However It's always a strange feeling though. I really want to push it hard, but at the same time I realise that it took me so much time to find a nice EK9, and that it's so rare here (i think i'm the only one in my country wit a 9), so I defninitely want to keep it in one piece :) (I want another one for the track! :)))

Mods I've done on the car so far:

- Mugen twinloop catback
- Mugen airbox
- Ferodo DS2500 pads (front and back)
- Spoon magnetic drain plugs
- Spoon Engine & tranny mount set
- MFactory shifter bushings
- MAXIM WORKS 4-2-1 header
(pretty rare stuff :naughty:)
- DEFI Din gauges (amber red)
- Pioneer MVH-8200 headunit

Things on my wishlist:
- New recaro bolsters
- Potenza RE11's or Yokohama ADVAN AD08 tyres
- Spoon calipers
- suspension upgrades
like coilovers, new OEM bushings and if necessary camber kit (still doing some research about which set would be best for me. I would love the car to hang a bit lower, but I like how the OEM suspension feels and handles, so I want something that comes close to OEM handling!)

MAXIM WORKS header
Me & and a good friend of mine (Yes-SiR! from the forum here) got the Maxim and Feel's header from Duncan.
The headers were really really rusted, and we wanted them to look nice again.
So we' ve spent about 20 to 30 hours 'restoring' it :naughty:
I swear the Maxim was really rusted so it was a f*%$ing pain in the ass!! :))
I started sanding it wit an 80 grit, and ended wit 1000 grit and then polish.
We also heat-wrapped the lower part of the headers.
The results speak for itself.

hmm nice to see there's another EK9 in Belgium :)

tho I bought mine through Mashamoto belgium, which was a PAIN! bought the car over 2 years ago, and he had some problems with paperwork he said, and the conclusion is, that it's still not 100% legit, I do have the green paper from technical inspection, and I'm driving on my silvia's plates now, but it aint registered..

but was it you that I saw in the queue for Graspop the other day ? because I saw a white EK9 on belgian plates, and they also looked pretty surprised at me :D and I only know of 1 other guy having an EK9 officially on plates, and it wasnt him :p so it must have been you ??

nice EK9 btw :) if I only would have read this thread way earlier, so I could contact you to do my paperwork (I would have paid for it ofc :p)

Very nice EK9 :)
switch9 were you at Japfest in May? Someone from Belgium drove all the way to Japfest.

We also met some of you guys at the Ring. When Duncan, Steven, Tim,... went to there in april

Hi,
I live in Belgium too. Sorry my Dutch is far from perfect so i prefer to write in English.
How did you manage to get the paperwork from Honda?
My dealer in Bergen doesn't even know what is an EK9 (he even doesn't understand ej6, ek3,...), so imagine if i ask him for paperwork:confused:
No answer from Honda UK and i can't find an email for Honda in Japan.

Thanks, Franklin.
