My Dyno Results...

Put something down that plug hole and turn the crank, only way to be sure :p

my mates ek9 must be stroked then as it made 198bhp recently.

thats with exhaust/intake mods and 4.7 final drive/lightened flywheel.

now if he put it on another rolling road i dare say it would be different :nerv:

does go well in all respect, but i would take figures lightly in general.

would be nice to find out your motor was stroked and you where none the
wiser

an ek4 local to me made 184bhp with bolt ons years back,so that says it
all :blabla:

Hey Ricky, sorry man was speaking to Ricky above, not Mr Pang ;)

lol

my bad

Ricky, who's happy rollers were they?

that was at "eastcoast" rollers years back.

i put mine on those rollers twice and there was difference in 8bhp between
the two dates and no mods in between the times :secret:

just goes to show even the day can make a difference in the output.

:shocked:32 bhp loss through the transmission

just seems high, mine lost about 23 bhp through the transmission, was something like 192 at fly, and 169 at wheels,

run down tests can be easily balls'd up or miss calculated.

best to go by WHP:nice:

It would be even better to provide a g-force graph for every gear instead of all those relatively meaningless numbers. G-force is imho the only correct way to display acceleration in numbers. HP is nice for an indication and to compare what mods have done for your car.

But this is a bit offtopic :p

congrqats man savage figures for a b16b mine made 190.4 with a blowing exhaust so im happy out:D

WHP is the way forward,

I was at a RR day at TSR performance in bridgewater a while ago and they were using the cars brakes on the costdown part of the run,

some cars had crazy printouts, like 120 bhp at the wheels and 174 at the flywheel, Subsequently i left early and didn`t bother letting them run my car,,

WHP everytime for me its where its at :nice::nice::nice::nice:

Olly is right....

The only dyno i would trust is dyno-dynamics. Results seem repeatable & very similar from place to place....

My setup gave 163WHP on a mildly breathed on B18C6

im not sure mate, doubt steven would come all this way for a dyno run...i may well be wrong though!

Dastek at Dalgetty bay? If so then yes, was for the jdmy0 RR day a while back

Made 191.4bhp at the fly and 160bhp at the wheels

Since then it's had the Spoon ecu added, lower resonator removed, taper ported TB, better engine mounts, single plate clutch/lighter flywheel

Feels much faster now so would expect it to be closer to 200 on the same rollers

Think Darren in his silver one made 187 the same day!!!

Good figures though, when i was there their dyno seemed very accurate for the cars there, Johns S2K made 251bhp which was before he charged it just had the Muggin box and HKS exhaust :) Low mileage car which makes 250 standard is it not?

As long as th ek9s (same cars) going to that place are making roughly the same numbers, then thats all that matters
