K20 in a Jazz

er, they have now! looks a savage wee car! loving the brakes. :nice:

Aye how did you come about trying it out ha ha

I can imagine it does stoppies? :D

had to jam them on doing about wan fiddy....the back end got very light to the point it was twitching about, had to ease off and hope the gears would do it haha.

just tried them cos they were there and didnt want to be a jdm fanboy and spend 700 on spoon calipers when a set of s/h brembos, new 300mm discs and pads are under 200 and can be made to fit.

I'd imagine you'd be clenched through that escapade....:nerv:

Does brembo's have dust seals? as i'm led to believe the spoon calipers don't so either way i'd prefer me some brembo's !

yeah brembos have dust seals, and theyre oem fitment so perfect for somethin like this thats a daily driver. pretty much any caliper can be made to fit a hub with a bit of engineering work, these were lug mount and needed modifying to the caliper and hub, some are post mount which is easier, you just have to design and mill a bracket. next job is porsche calipers on the eg....

Sounds like brembo's are a better choice for what i will be after in the future although all that modifying i might have to get your assistance with it cos i doubt i have the tools for the job !

Porsche calipers sound minted ! 6 pots i'd imagine?

Did you get them powdercoated? Or sprayed that colour? looks like an awesome job - did the place that done it avoid the pistons or did you have to strip them down?

imy painted them for me here, just ultimate green basecoat, pearl, decals then laquer, the pistons were masked off and I replaced the bleed nipples with HEL stainless ones.

laquer after the decals was a nice decision ! aye those bleed nipples are beasts

Really like Jazz alot, but with k20 in it  very impressive work on that mate :nice:

yes it was in banzai :D

The K24 EG was very fast, the engine now lives in my friends EP3, its quite the sleeper! The eg is now being equipped with a forged engine and GT30,eeeeeee!

Nice project, always been tempted by this conversion. was it difficult/expensive?

its far from straightforward, put it that way. its many times the work/effort of putting a K into an EG or EK. Pretty much everything is bespoke, the only off the shelf parts were the mounts and even then they were really no use and Id just make my own the next time.

Definately worth it though! this ones for sale for £8500, bargain for someone that really wants a quick Jazz that doesnt need anything else done to it.

a lot of money but a whole lot of performance too i guess.

The words custom and bespoke makes my wallet cringe lol

got a new plate for it :nice:
